VEG ER for Pets in Princeton, NJ, is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll handle a wide range of cases, assist doctors, and provide compassionate nursing care, triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing for pets in urgent need.

Requirements include a high school diploma, AVMA-accredited program, and CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential; 1+ year experience in veterinary tech; ability to lift up to 25 kg (40 with help).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the state; AVMA/credentialed status preferred.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty background preferred.
• Comfort with practice management software and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person with care throughout tests and treatments.
• Provide nursing care and emotional support during emergencies.
• Administer meds, monitor treatments, and assist with anesthesia and diagnostics.
• Collaborate with doctors; help shape care plans and ensure smooth flow.
• Perform CPR and other advanced procedures as trained.
• Assist with imaging, sample collection, and critical care tasks.
