Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in California. You will join front-line emergency care, handling cases from triage to discharge and collaborating with doctors and team members to deliver gold-standard care.

The role emphasizes anesthesia, diagnostics, imaging, and critical care nursing, with opportunities for growth, mentorship, and a supportive VEG culture that values your skills and patient welfare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT in the practice state.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; ER or specialty preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments and monitoring from triage to discharge.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, IV therapies and transfusions.
• Care for patients with empathy and communicate with the team to plan care.
• Perform CPR and assist with anesthesia, endoscopy, and other modalities as needed.
