Job summary

VEG in Minnesota is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will handle a wide range of cases, assist doctors, and provide compassionate care to anxious pets and their families.

Responsibilities include triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, with opportunities to grow skills through mentorship and ongoing ER CE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency preferred.
• Credentialed as CVT/RVT/LVT in the state; strong communication under pressure.
• Able to stand, lift up to 25 kg, and work nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support during emergencies.
• Assist doctors and maintain clear communication with team.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement.
• Provide CPR and high-quality care in fast-paced ER setting.
