Skyline Veterinary Specialists & Emergency, a BluePearl Veterinary Partner, is hiring an extraordinary Emergency Veterinary Technician!

You will induce, monitor and recover anesthesia, triage emergencies, perform digital radiography, and monitor vital signs. You’ll assist Veterinarians, place IV catheters, and help mentor teammates in a fast-paced hospital setting at our Kentucky location. Daytime and overnight shifts available.

Qualifications

• Current RVT license or veterinary technician credential.

Responsibilities

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients.
• Triage emergency cases and monitor vitals.
• Perform digital radiography with proper positioning.
• Monitor vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other signs.
• Initiate CPR for arrest-risk patients.
• Calculate medical math and administer medications.
• Phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central lines.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
• Address client concerns with empathy.
