Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) in Austin, TX is hiring Emergency & Critical Care Veterinary Technicians. We offer a brand-new 45,000 sq ft facility and a comprehensive benefits package for credentialed and non-credentialed staff.

Full-time roles with days TBD ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Credentialed technicians earn $24+/hr and non-credentialed technicians earn $21+/hr, based on experience.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technicians with at least 3 years of experience.
• Strong client service and patient care skills.
• Fluent English (spoken and read) required; multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Restrain pets, prepare/administer medications, and assist in exams, procedures, and surgeries.
• Monitor anesthesia, provide supportive therapy, and teach clients how to administer treatments.
• Prepare patients for discharge and communicate status updates to the care team and clients.
• Record patient histories, treatments, and procedures accurately for invoicing and records.
• Complete paperwork and maintain detailed progress notes.
• Schedule procedures, relay accurate information to clients, and seek help when needed.
