Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) in Austin, TX, has expanded to a brand-new 45,000 sq ft hospital and is hiring for a Veterinary Technician Supervisor in Emergency and Critical Care. The supervisor leads the ER/CC team and ensures excellent patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of three years experience as a veterinary technician.
• Two years leadership or supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Lead AVES emergency and critical care staff and maintain a professional work environment.
• Direct supervision of PCP; ensure duties and communication.
• Provide technical support and case management for ER/CC.
• Interview, hire, train, review, and terminate staff.
• Develop schedules to meet daily and holiday support requirements.
• Coordinate meetings with shift leads and provide leadership feedback.
• Facilitate ongoing education and ensure SOP adherence.
