VEG ER for Pets in Omaha, NE is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You’ll handle a wide range of cases, from minor to complex emergencies, working with doctors to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care to pets and their families.

You’ll perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while staying calm under pressure, communicating clearly, and growing your skills through

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT/LVT) in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role, emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology (AVMA-accredited program) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with compassion and support families during emergencies.
• Perform triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and teammates to ensure efficient care and smooth patient flow.
• Communicate clearly with team and lead where appropriate.
• Perform CPR and advanced emergency procedures as trained.
• Handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and catheter placements.
• Assist with anesthesia management for fragile patients.
• Utilize advanced techniques such as central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
