Job summary

Boston West Veterinary Emergency & Specialty in Natick, MA seeks a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Specialist) to greet clients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records in a fast-paced emergency and specialty setting.

Four 10-hour shifts, including one weekend shift, with a suite of benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the Ethos Veterinary Health network.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, receptionist, or client-facing experience.
• Veterinary receptionist, animal hospital, or medical reception experience is helpful.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to provide compassionate service during stressful or emotional situations.
• Comfortable using computers, maintaining accurate records, and communicating by phone and email.
• A collaborative, adaptable approach and interest in building a long-term career in veterinary client service.
• Fluent English speaking and reading skills required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients, creating a positive and supportive first impression.
• Provide compassionate customer service to pet owners navigating emergency and specialty veterinary care.
• Answer incoming calls, respond to client questions, and communicate with referring veterinarians.
• Schedule and coordinate appointments across multiple specialty departments.
• Manage appointment reminders, follow-up communications, and client correspondence by phone and email.
• Accurately maintain patient records, client information, and hospital files.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians, doctors, and specialty teams to support an organized client experience.
• Prioritize multiple tasks while remaining calm, professional, and attentive in a fast-paced animal hospital.
