Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Assistant for Beaverton, OR. You’ll be at the heart of emergency care, triaging patients, assisting with treatments and diagnostics, and supporting licensed staff in anesthesia and critical care.

You’ll grow through guided training pathways, with opportunities to advance to anesthesia support, ultrasound, and other senior tasks while working in a fast-paced, pet-centered environment. Per diem schedule available.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is a plus.
• 1+ years in a veterinary assistant role (emergency or specialty experience a bonus).
• Basic computer skills and EMR/practice management software familiarity.
• Excellent communicator with clients and team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg (40 kg with assistance).
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a rotating schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Be the first warm welcome, triage patients, and guide them to care.
• Assist with treatments, nursing care, and diagnostics from bloodwork to imaging.
• Support anesthesia and sedation alongside licensed veterinary staff.
• Set up and manage IV fluids, blood products, and medications.
• Participate in patient rounds to maintain continuity of care.
• Learn CPR and pursue RECOVER certification (training provided).
• Grow into advanced roles such as anesthesia support and ultrasound.
