Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience, ER preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills.
• Comfortable in fast-paced, emotionally charged environments.
• Kindness, teamwork, and a supportive presence are essential.
• Experienced credentialed technicians encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients and greet their owners.
• Take weights and vital signs; triage and assist with exams and meds.
• Calm anxious patients and support doctors with medications and restraint.
• Perform lab tests, take radiographs, and operate hospital equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of controlled drugs.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and proper chemical safety daily.
• Assist with overnight care; educate clients on meds and wellness plans.
• Promote hospital services and respond to directions from DVM/LVT.
