Job summary
PetVet Care Centers' New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, CT seeks an Emergency Vet Assistant (1st Shift) to support veterinarians, technicians, and staff. Responsibilities include patient care, vitals, restraints, lab work, and handling pharmacy tasks in a busy ER/ICU setting.

Qualifications
- Must have at least 1 year of veterinary assistant experience (ER preferred but not required).
- Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills.
- Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to all patients.
- Greet patients and their owners, record vitals on arrival.
- Triage patients, assist with medications and restraints as directed by LVTs.
- Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
- Maintain accurate medical records and hospital equipment.
- Promote hospital products and services and support the organization.
