Job summary

UCLA Health Santa Monica is seeking an Emergency Trauma Tech to support the ED with evidence-based patient care during 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays. You will assist with procedures, transport patients, perform EKGs, and support nursing staff in a fast-paced academic setting.

Prior ED Tech or EMT experience and a current BLS certification are required. Knowledge of wound care, suturing, splinting and infection control will help you succeed at our Magnet-designated health

Qualifications

• Prior ED Tech or EMT experience is highly desirable.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of suturing, dressing, splinting, CPR and EKGs is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based care in an academic ED setting for diverse patients.
• Assist nurses, transport patients, collect specimens, and perform EKGs and finger sticks.
• Support procedures setup and wound care as needed; uphold infection control practices.
