Job summary

UCLA Health is seeking an Emergency Trauma Technician for the Emergency Department at Westwood, Los Angeles. The role requires night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:30am, weekends and holidays, supporting nurses in trauma care and patient transport.

The technician provides basic patient care, assists with procedure setup, and performs EKGs and finger-stick glucose tests, with knowledge of orthopedic injuries and splint placement. Salary: $27.08–$31.09 hourly.

Qualifications

• Experience in trauma or emergency settings preferred.
• Knowledge of orthopedic injuries and splint placement.
• Ability to assist nurses with transport and activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in trauma/emergency situations.
• Assist in equipment setup for procedures.
• Transport patients and assist with ADL.
• Collect specimens, perform EKGs and finger-stick blood glucose checks.
