UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine invites applications for an Emergency Trauma Tech in the Santa Monica area. You will provide direct patient care in a Magnet-designated academic ED, support nurses, and assist in procedures with orthopedic injury management and splinting.

The role requires prior EMT experience, BLS certification, and proficiency with EKGs and wound care, with a focus on teamwork and patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior ED tech or EMT experience is highly desired.
• BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of suturing, dressing, and splinting.
• CPR and EKG skills are essential.
• Able to assist with routine patient care and support to physicians and nurses.

Responsabilités

• Provide evidence-based care in a busy academic ED setting.
• Assist nurses in transporting patients and ADL support.
• Prepare patients for procedures; set up equipment and assist with wounds/splinting.
• Perform EKGs and fingerstick glucose checks; monitor patients with complex conditions.
