Qualifications

• Four years of procurement experience at the level of Procurement Assistant I, Warehouse Worker III, or higher.
• Must meet the above requirement to be appointed to fill any vacancies related to this recruitment.

Responsibilities

• Plans, assigns, directs, and evaluates work of subordinate staff.
• Directs routine and emergency procurement of supplies, equipment and services, and related records and reports.
• Directs storage and distribution of supplies and maintains optimum inventory levels.
• Coordinates procurement and supply activities with accounting operations, central processing, and vendors.
• Screens requests for supplies and evaluates consumption patterns for different units.
• Supervises evaluation of supplies and equipment for cost, efficiency, and labor savings.
• Prepares specifications for complex equipment items to meet unit needs and central requirements.
• Directs acquisition, tagging, inventories, and custody of equipment.
• Directs utilization of equipment and disposal of salvage items.
• Participates in budget preparation for services, supplies, and equipment.
