Job summary

MoDOT is seeking an emergency maintenance equipment operator to perform snow removal duties in Sedalia or Marshall. You will operate plow trucks, spread ice control materials, and conduct routine vehicle and equipment maintenance under supervision.

The role may involve overtime, night shifts, and outdoor work in traffic and hazardous conditions. Compensation ranges by season, with benefits and pension through MoDOT.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• CDL Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic. Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds. Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
• Overtime and night work may be required.
• Outdoor work with exposure to hazards and heavy equipment in traffic.
