Job summary

MoDOT's Southwest District in Mt. Vernon, MO is seeking an emergency maintenance equipment operator to plow snow, spread ice control materials, and maintain vehicles and facilities under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating plows, spreading materials, and performing vehicle and site maintenance. Overtime/night work may be required; background check and drug screen are required for employment. MoDOT offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B with no air brake restrictions and interstate status (EI or NI).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials or to warn oncoming traffic.
• Cleans and performs routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, buildings and grounds.
• Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned.
