Advocate Lutheran General Hospital - Emergency Department is seeking staff to assist physicians and registered nurses in patient care, including phlebotomy, transport, and monitoring. The role requires the ability to document, communicate observations, and support billing in the EHR.

Typical duties include ensuring safety, cleanliness, and teamwork in a fast-paced ED setting. Qualified candidates typically have a High School Diploma, about 1 year of experience, and basic certification

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Typically requires 1 year experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Must maintain hospital-based certifications (e.g., DNV, CARF or others).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 6 months unless exempt.

Responsabilités

• Assists physicians and RNs in providing technical care, including phlebotomy and wound care.
• Transports patients and monitors patient status using cardiac and vital sign monitors.
• Documents procedures and communicates observations to the nurse.
• Processes daily patient charges and related procedures in the EHR.
• Coordinates communications (phone, paging, EMS) to facilitate patient care.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment following safety policies.
