Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Highland Springs is seeking a Supervisor of Security and Emergency Services for our gated retirement community. You will ensure program and procedural compliance, oversee quality assurance, investigations, training, and provide administrative support.

Responsibilities include managing gatehouse and patrols, incident reporting, coordinating with SES Manager on emergency plans, hiring and coaching staff, and maintaining schedules and performance evaluations.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years in public safety supervisory roles.
• Minimum 1 year as an Emergency Responder.
• Valid driver’s license required.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring program and procedural compliance, overseeing quality assurance and improvement, conducting investigations, providing training, and offering administrative support.

What you will make an impact

• Responsible for the security of the community through the use of gatehouse, patrols, access control, visitor/contractor registration, key management, and other programs
• Monitor safety programs to include; Security Department safety inspections, responses to workplace accidents, hazard communication programs, respiratory mask fit testing programs, and others as needed
• Partner with SES Manager to update and maintain the Emergency Preparedness Plans
• Ensure completion of Incident Reports, daily shift reports and responds to calls for service
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, counseling of employees
• Establish schedules, reviews and approves timesheets, completes performance evaluations
• Provide daily leadership, supervision, motivation, and communication to direct and indirect reports

Compensation

Compensation: Commensurate upon experience starting at $26.00 per hour.

What you will need

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in public safety supervisory (Fire/EMS/Law Enforcement) or comparable supervisory experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Responder role
• Current valid driver’s license
