Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC seeks a Director of Nursing (RN) for Emergency Services to lead multiple emergency departments, ensuring safe patient care and staff development. The role oversees staff performance, budgets, and quality improvement initiatives across locations.

The ED Director will drive evidence-based nursing practice, collaborate with the CNO, and shape programs to enhance patient outcomes and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• BSN required; Master's in related field preferred.
• Current South Carolina RN license (or qualifying state).
• Previous management experience required.
• Minimum 3-5 years of emergency nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS required. CPI training upon hire.
• Knowledge of human resources management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.

Responsibilities

• Directs, supervises and evaluates staff across multiple Emergency service locations.
• Contributes to development of fully qualified and continuously improving staff.
• Supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department.
• Plans and administers the annual budget for multiple locations with the CNO.
• Integrates evidence-based nursing practice using the nursing process.
