Job summary

Amazon in United States (Virginia) is seeking an Emergency Services Manager to lead the Emergency Services Unit across multiple sites in a 24/7 environment. You will drive security initiatives, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure readiness and protection of people and assets.

The role requires evaluating incidents, building strategic roadmaps, and maintaining partnerships with law enforcement and internal security partners.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of security, law enforcement, or intelligence experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Business Management or related fields
• Ability to maintain situational awareness across multiple areas of responsibility
• Attend regularly scheduled meetings and actively participate
• Working knowledge of legal contracts and terminology

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop Emergency Services Unit teams across multiple sites in a 24/7 environment
• Develop roadmaps and drive requirements for ESU initiatives
• Set expectations for leadership behavior and model Amazon Leadership Principles
• Balance team goals to optimize performance and development
• Manage staff, resolve issues, and evaluate performance
• Maintain high standards through inspection, audits, and coaching
• Participate in interviews, hiring, and training of staff
• Design cohesive responses to security events across teams
• Make data-driven decisions and deliver results
• Establish relationships with law enforcement and security partners
• Develop crisis and incident management standards and continuous improvements
• Create security plans aligned with customer security needs
