Dallas County is seeking a Monitor Dispatcher to oversee alarm monitoring for county properties, dispatch Security Department personnel, and respond to phone calls and camera feeds.

The role requires high school graduation or equivalent, with several years of public service or college hours. A physical/psychological exam and drug testing are required, with rotating shifts and after-hours duties.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Four years of public service or work-related experience, or 60 college hours from an accredited college or university.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to meet physical and mental standards.

Responsabilités

• Monitor fire and intrusion alarm systems and security cameras continuously.
• Answer phones and dispatch appropriate personnel for routine and emergency situations.
• Inform DCSD staff and supervisors of emergencies and maintain incident logs.
• Complete reports via the DCSD Records Management and Incident Reporting system.
• Disptach for Facilities and Maintenance after hours and on weekends.
• Maintain lost-and-found and evidence storage and related logs.
