Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 15 college hours preferred.
• 1 year security experience or related/work or active military service.
• Texas Private Security Bureau certification and 40-hour training required.

Responsibilities

• Performs security duties around County property and controls disturbances and access; reports to supervisor.
• Responds to fire alarms, threats, medical emergencies, and other calls for service; assists in evacuations.
• Oversees screening of entrants to Courts buildings and documents issues.
• Reports maintenance needs and coordinates after-hours maintenance dispatch.
• Enforces County ordinances and policies (smoking, soliciting, parking, traffic).
• Extinguishes lights and secures doors during non-business hours; works in various weather.
• Documents lost/prohibited items and notifies supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
