Job summary

CHI Mercy Health of Roseburg is seeking an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department. You will perform delegated tasks from the RN or Physician, assist with diagnostics, patient transport, and clerical duties to maintain a clean, efficient unit.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians with procedures, coordinating care with staff, monitoring vitals, and preparing wounds. A background in direct patient care and BLS at hire are required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate General Studies or Equivalent.
• One year of direct patient care experience.
• Paramedic certification, EMT Certification or completion of the second term of Nursing Curriculum.
• AHA Basic Life Support upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to physician with procedures and treatments.
• Coordinates patient care with professional and support staff.
• Performs delegated patient care tasks as assigned.
• Monitors patient vital signs and notifies the RN or physician if they change.
• Prepares wounds for suturing.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician.

Every day you will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit.

To be successful in this role you will effectively execute delegated tasks, support unit operations, and contribute to a safe and efficient environment.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Graduate General Studies or Equivalent
• One (1) year of direct patient care experience
• Paramedic certification, EMT Certification or completion of the second term of Nursing Curriculum
• AHA Basic Life Support upon hire

Preferred

• ED and/or Phlebotomy experience
