Job summary

Amery Hospital & Clinic invites applications for an Emergency Room Technician to assist in patient care within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include routine treatments, specimen collection, and clerical support, with a focus on prioritizing urgent needs and timely reporting to the RN.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and BLS certification; Wisconsin EMT/AEMT/Paramedic/LPN/CNA licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: completion of National EMS program.
• Wisconsin license in EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, LPN or CNA preferred.
• Three years experience as CNA, LPN or EMT preferred.
• Experience in EPIC computer system.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine treatments and procedures in the Emergency Department.
• Assist in collection of patient specimens (urine, stool, finger stick blood glucose).
• Provide clerical support to staff (ordering supplies).
• Prioritize patient needs, initiate appropriate interventions, and report data to the RN in a timely manner.
