Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking an Emergency Room RN for night shifts in the Adult Emergency Department. Saint Peter's is Magnet-designated, reflecting outstanding nursing practice and patient outcomes.

The team is expanding to meet growing demand, and we are looking for compassionate RNs to join us. As an ER Night RN, you will collaborate with a skilled team, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and document care thoroughly in line with Standards of Care.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in New Jersey is required.
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three years.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• ACLS certification required or obtained during orientation.
• NRP Part I certification required.
• NRP Part II obtained during orientation.
• C-EFM must be obtained within 6 months (18 months for new to specialty).

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Education

RN License in New Jersey

BSN preferred or within 3 years of hire

The Emergency Room RN Nights will:

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification required or obtained during clinical orientation
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part I required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider) certification Part II obtained during clinical orientation
• C-EFM must be obtain within 6 months of hire date. Nurses new to the specialty have 18 months to obtain.

Salary Range:47.00 - 62.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
