Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking an Adult Emergency Room RN for night shifts in New Jersey. The role emphasizes high standards of nursing care, precise documentation, and adherence to care protocols that support Magnet-recognized outcomes.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, efficient care in a busy adult ED.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in New Jersey required.
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required or obtained as noted.
• ECG and Critical Care courses completed during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to the nursing team.
• Perform health assessments per Nursing Standards.
• Ensure procedures follow established standards of care.
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies per policy.
• Meticulously document all patient care activities.

The Adult Emergency Room RN Nights will:

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• BSN preferred or must be obtained within three (3) years of hire date
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• PALS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• Critical Care course completed during clinical orienation

Salary Range:47.00 - 62.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
