Job summary

Saint Peter’s Health Care System seeks a Pediatric Emergency Room RN on a per diem basis in New Jersey. This Magnet-designated hospital rewards high-quality nursing and patient outcomes with a collaborative ER team.

The RN will assess pediatric patients, administer medications, document care meticulously, and uphold Standards of Care in a fast-paced environment. A BSN is preferred, with required NJ RN licensure and BLS/APLS/PALS/ENPC certifications as orientation-based training.

Qualifications

• RN license in New Jersey required
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required (AHA)
• ACLS certification obtained during orientation
• PALS certification obtained during orientation
• ECG course completed during orientation
• ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatrics) completed during orientation
• Procedural Sedation course completed during orientation

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine health status of assigned patients as outlined in Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

The Pediatric Emergency Room RN Per Diem will:

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• One (1) year of experience preferredBSN preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• PALS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatrics course) completed during clinical orientation
• Procedural Sedation course completed obtained during clinical orientation

Salary Range:53.00 - 53.00 USD

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
