Job summary

Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Pediatric Emergency Room RN per diem to join our Magnet-designated team. The role emphasizes high-quality patient care, teamwork, and adherence to Nursing Standards in a fast-paced ER setting.

Candidates must hold a New Jersey RN license with BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and Procedural Sedation training completed or during orientation. BSN preferred with opportunity for compensation based on experience and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN in New Jersey (State license)
• BSN preferred
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during orientation
• PALS certification obtained during orientation
• ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatrics) completed during orientation
• Procedural Sedation course completed during orientation

Responsibilities

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients per Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy

The Pediatric Emergency Room RN Per Diem will:

• Be a positive contributor to our collaborative nursing team
• Utilize excellent assessment skills to determine the health status of assigned patients as outlined in the Nursing Standards
• Ensure all procedures are performed based on established Standards of Care
• Administer medications and parenteral therapies in accordance with policy
• Meticulously document all aspects of patient care

Requirements:

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey
• One (1) year of experience preferred BSN preferred
• BLS certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• PALS certification obtained during clinical orientation
• ECG course completed during clinical orientation
• ENPC (Emergency Nurse Pediatrics course) completed during clinical orientation
• Procedural Sedation course completed obtained during clinical orientation

We offer competitive base rates that are determined by many factors, including job-related work experience, internal equity, and industry-specific market data. In addition to base salary, some positions may be eligible for clinical certification pay and shift differentials.

The salary range listed for exempt positions reflects full-time compensation and will be prorated based on employment status.
