Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Temple, Texas seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) for the evening shift, 3:00pm–3:00am. This full-time role covers 36 hours per week in a premier Level I Trauma Center with a busy, team-focused ED environment.

You will perform rapid assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while advancing clinical practice and patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license in Texas
• BLS certification within 30 days of starting
• Experience in emergency department preferred
• Ability to work evenings and fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and create/adjust care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, APPs, social workers and staff to ensure quality patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions
• Delegate tasks appropriately based on patient needs and team competencies
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure safety and privacy standards
