Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced ER Nurse to deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients with real or potential emergency needs, in collaboration with medical staff.

You will apply nursing process, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate, while coordinating with multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, assisting physicians, and guiding LPNs and ED Techs to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
• One (1) year Acute Care Experience required.
• Good organizational skills preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced professional and technical nursing care to ER patients using the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and examinations; supervise/LPNs and ED Techs as needed.
