Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital in Florida seeks an experienced ER nurse to deliver advanced professional and technical nursing care to patients presenting with real or potential emergency needs, in collaboration with the medical staff.

You will use the nursing process, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and work with a multidisciplinary team to provide age-appropriate care. The role includes assisting physicians and supervising LPNs and ED Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by NCSBN.
• One (1) year Acute Care Experience required
• Good organizational skills preferred
• Basic computer skills required

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to ER patients across ages in collaboration with the medical staff.
• Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) in patient care.
• Assists physicians during treatments and examinations and supervises LPNs and ED Techs.
