Job summary

Palmetto General Hospital is seeking an experienced ER nurse to deliver advanced professional care to patients of all ages presenting with emergency needs. You will work collaboratively with the medical staff, using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care in a high-acuity environment.

The role requires at least one year of acute care experience, Florida RN licensure, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved nursing educational program as defined by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN).
• One (1) year Acute Care Experience required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced professional and technical nursing care to ER patients of all ages with real or potential emergency needs.
• Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide age/developmentally appropriate care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during treatments and examinations.
• Instructs Licensed Practical Nurses and ED Technicians to provide patient care.
