Job summary

Massachusetts Health & Hospital Association seeks an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in a busy ER setting. You will ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality while documenting observations and coordinating with physicians.

The role requires an Associate's Degree (BSN preferred), current RN licensure without sanctions, and at least 2 years of ER experience. BLS/ACLS/PALS current; ENPC/TNCC preferred.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure without sanctions.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time ER or related experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current; ENPC or TNCC preferred.
• Effective written and oral communication in English.
• For Pennsylvania candidates, Act 33 and Act 73 clearances or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Provide age-specific, developmentally appropriate nursing care.
• Complete accurate documentation of patient information and observations.
• Monitor and record signs, symptoms, and physiological status.
• Follow physician orders and infection control protocols.
• Perform laboratory sample collection, testing, and diagnostic procedures.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assist with equipment setup and procedures, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Participate in care planning, evaluation, and quality assessment activities.
• Attend staff meetings and perform additional assigned duties.
