HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. You will work with medical providers and the care team to educate patients and families and ensure timely documentation of every intervention.

The RN will assess pain, perform procedures, respond to requests, and use established nursing models to promote positive outcomes and an outstanding patient experience.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license (or compact) required.
• 1+ years RN experience in acute care.
• BLS-AHA Provider within 30 days of start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days of employment start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of start date.
• TNCC within 6 months of employment start date.
• ACLS or ACLS Instructor within 6 months of start date.
• PALS or PALS Instructor within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures and monitor care; document in medical records.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients/families/caregivers about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up.
