Job summary

Southern Regional Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Room RN for night shifts in Riverdale, GA. The ER RN will deliver rapid, skilled care to patients in the emergency department, triage, and coordinate treatments in a high-stakes setting.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS/ACLS/PALS (ENPC) certifications, and 1+ year of acute care or ER experience. BSN preferred; CEN preferred. Full-time, night schedule with 12-hour shifts and a straight rate of $65.00/hr.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS/ENPC certifications preferred.
• 1+ year ER/acute care experience preferred; CEN is a plus.
• BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients on arrival and prioritize care per triage protocols.
• Provide direct care, administer medications, monitor vitals, and manage pain.
• Assist with stabilization and life-saving interventions (ACLS/PALS/trauma).
• Manage high-stress situations calmly and efficiently during busy shifts.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans.

Shifts Available : Nights (Straight Rate $65.00hr)

Hours : 12hr shifts – 7 :00 pm to 7:00am

Location: Southern Regional Medical Center – Riverdale, GA

We are seeking an Emergency Room RN, also referred to as an Emergency Department RN or Emergency Services RN . The ER RN provides rapid and skilled care to patients who arrive at the hospital seeking emergency medical attention. The ER Nurses are skilled professionals who play a critical role in delivering emergent and urgent care to patients in the emergency department.

Responsibilities

If you have experience as a Registered Nurse in Critical Care, Intensive Care Unit ( ICU ) , Cardiac Care, Telemetry or Emergency Department, you are encouraged to apply!

• A ssess patients upon arrival to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care accordingly, follow standardized triage protocols to quickly identify patients who require immediate attention due to life-threatening conditions
• P rovide direct care to patients with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries which may involve administering medications, performing procedures such as wound care or splinting, monitoring vital signs, and managing pain
• I n cases of severe illness or trauma, you may assist with stabilizing patients and initiating life-saving interventions, this can include advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), pediatric advanced life support (PALS), and trauma care
• M anage high-stress and rapidly changing situations effectively. remain calm, focused, and decisive while providing care to multiple patients simultaneously during busy shifts or mass casualty events
• E ducate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Facility Specific Requirements (facility May Require Items Listed Below)

• In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintain current.
• EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
