Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC is seeking Locum Tenens Emergency Room Physicians to support the Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, AZ. PRN coverage is needed when permanent staff or current contractors cannot meet 24/7 operational requirements.

Eligible candidates will have recent ED experience, completed EM/FM/IM-Peds training, ABMS/AOA board certification in EM/FM/IM, and current BLS/PALS/ACLS; NRP is highly recommended.

Qualifications

• Emergency Medicine ED experience within the last 5 years.
• Post-graduate training in EM, FM, or IM/Peds from an ACGME- or AOA-accredited program.
• Active ABMS/AOA board certification in EM, FM, or IM/FP (IM alone not allowed).

Responsibilities

• Provide care that aligns with IHS and facility policies.
• Complete medical records promptly for all patients seen.
• Maintain care standards per hospital and accrediting bodies.

These physicians will provide PRN coverage in the event neither permanent staff nor current contract vendors can meet the need to maintain 24/7 operational status.

Responsibilities

• Provide work that is consistent with the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the IHS.
• Prepare and complete in a timely fashion the medical and other required records for all parties they admit, or in any way provides care for, in the health care facility.
• Maintain consistent performance of patient care processes according to the standards of applicable hospital and IHS accreditation programs These standards include, but are not limited to: The Joint Commission, The Comprehensive Accreditation Manuals for the Hospitals, The Laboratory Standards and Ambulatory Care Standards.

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant ED experience within the past five (5) years.
• Successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)- or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA)- accredited post-graduate training program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or combined Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics.
• Possess ABMS, AOA, or NBPAS-board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics in accordance with their post-graduate medical training; all board certification(s) must be in a clinically active status. [Standalone Internal Medicine board certification is not permitted.] Relevant ABMS- or AOA Board- eligibility may be considered for recent (< 3 years) graduates of a relevant ACGME- or an AOA-accredited post-graduate training program in one of the aforementioned required medical specialties be requested to provide documentation of the number and types of relevant cases during the past 24 months.
• ED physicians trained in Family Medicine or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics should have at least two recent years of consistent ED experience post residency.
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ATLS certification is required.
• NRP certification is highly recommended but not required.

Estimated Salary/Wage

USD $325.00/Hr.
