Job summary

MD Staffing Services is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to provide clinical coverage at the Whiteriver Indian Health Service Hospital Emergency Department in Whiteriver, Arizona. This personal services contract offers flexible, as-needed shifts with 12-hour coverage across day, mid, and night rotations.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with unrestricted Arizona license or ability to obtain one.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Current DEA, BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications, or equivalent.
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S. and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency medicine care in the ED.
• Stabilize and treat acute illnesses and injuries.
• Work day, night and weekend coverage as scheduled.
• Coordinate with hospital staff to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and meet credentialing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency medicine care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
• Evaluate, diagnose, stabilize, and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Work scheduled day, night, weekend, holiday, and other assigned coverage as needed
• Coordinate with hospital clinical staff to ensure continuity of patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow IHS and facility clinical, safety, security, and credentialing requirements

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Active, unrestricted physician license to practice medicine in Arizona, or ability to obtain prior to start
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Current DEA registrationCurrent BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications, or equivalent as required by the facilityU.S. citizenship requiredAbility to successfully complete required federal background and security screeningMeet all IHS and facility credentialing requirements
