Job summary

Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services company, seeks Locum Tenens Emergency Room Physicians to support Hopi Health Care Center in Polacca, AZ. This PRN coverage role ensures 24/7 operations when permanent staff or current contract vendors cannot meet the need.

The physicians will follow IHS guidelines, timely complete medical records, and uphold accreditation standards while delivering high-quality emergency care in a remote tribal health setting.

Qualifications

• Recent ED experience within the past five years.
• ACGME- or AOA-accredited post-graduate training in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics (ABMS/AOA/NBPAS) in active status; standalone Internal Medicine not permitted.
• Board-eligibility may be considered for recent graduates; provide documentation of cases in the past 24 months.
• ED physicians trained in Family Medicine or IM-Peds should have at least two years ED experience post residency.
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ATLS; NRP recommended but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide work that is consistent with the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the IHS.
• Prepare and complete in a timely fashion the medical and other required records for all patients admitted or provided care.
• Maintain consistent performance of patient care processes according to hospital and IHS accreditation standards (e.g., Joint Commission, Accreditation Manuals, Laboratory and Ambulatory Care Standards).

Responsibilities

• Provide work that is consistent with the guidelines, policies, and procedures of the IHS.
• Prepare and complete in a timely fashion the medical and other required records for all parties they admit, or in any way provides care for, in the health care facility.
• Maintain consistent performance of patient care processes according to the standards of applicable hospital and IHS accreditation programs These standards include, but are not limited to: The Joint Commission, The Comprehensive Accreditation Manuals for the Hospitals, The Laboratory Standards and Ambulatory Care Standards.

Qualifications

• Recent and relevant ED experience within the past five (5) years.
• Successfully completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)- or an American Osteopathic Association (AOA)- accredited post-graduate training program in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or combined Internal Medicine/ Pediatrics.
• Possess ABMS, AOA, or NBPAS-board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and/or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics in accordance with their post-graduate medical training; all board certification(s) must be in a clinically active status. [Standalone Internal Medicine board certification is not permitted.] Relevant ABMS- or AOA Board- eligibility may be considered for recent (< 3 years) graduates of a relevant ACGME- or an AOA-accredited post-graduate training program in one of the aforementioned required medical specialties be requested to provide documentation of the number and types of relevant cases during the past 24 months.
• ED physicians trained in Family Medicine or combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics should have at least two recent years of consistent ED experience post residency.
• Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and ATLS certification is required.
• NRP certification is highly recommended but not required.

Estimated Salary/Wage
