Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with physicians and care teams.

The RN will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, teach patients and families about conditions and follow-up, and advocate for patients while aligning with the hospital's standards and patient experience goals.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required, Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour within 1 year.
• ACLS, TNCC/Trauma certifications within specified timelines.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in nursing or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient pain regularly and promotes effective pain management.
• Performs procedures and documents care in the medical record.
• Teaches patients and families about conditions, treatment plans and follow-up.
• Responds promptly to patient needs and supports continuity of care.
• Advocates for patients and collaborates with providers and care teams.
