Qualifications

• RN license required.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
• BCLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• TNCC or equivalent trauma nursing course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Associate or Bachelor degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Document care in patient records in a timely manner.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Promote self-management through education on lifestyle changes.
