Job summary

Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in Telemetry and the Emergency Department. You will use the nursing process, educate patients and families, and coordinate with physicians to respond to evolving conditions.

Required qualifications include an active Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and basic arrhythmia interpretation, with ER/acute care experience preferred. This is a full-time night shift with a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications current.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ER/acute care RN experience; CEN and BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry and the ED.
• Direct patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians and document results.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance and report abuse per policy.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
