Job summary

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital (CRMH) in Roanoke, VA is hiring registered nurses for the Emergency Department on a full-time, evening/night shift with every other weekend and rotating holidays. CRMH is Carilion Clinic's Level 1 Trauma Center and part of a high-performing care team.

RNs provide coordinated care across ages, utilize EPIC electronic medical records, and participate in performance improvement activities while delivering compassionate, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or program eligible to sit for VA licensure.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS-HCP required; may require ACLS, PALS, NRP depending on unit.
• Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care for all ages to achieve optimum outcomes.
• Accurate administration and documentation of treatments and medications using EMR.
• Provide patient/family education and participate in performance improvement activities.
• Serve as patient advocate and collaborate with the health care team to develop an age-specific plan of care.
