Job summary

Carilion Rockbridge Community Hospital (CRBH) in Lexington, VA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. Working nights 7pm–7am, with every other weekend and rotating holidays, you will provide comprehensive nursing care across all ages, coordinating assessments, plans, and evaluations with the care team.

You will document in the EMR, administer medications, support patient education, and participate in quality initiatives.

Qualifications

Graduate of State Board of Nursing approved program.
Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia or eligibility to obtain licensure.
AHA BLS-HCP required.
Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

Provide professional nursing care to patients across all age groups.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care to achieve optimal outcomes.
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care and outcomes.
Administer treatments and medications and document care in EMR.
Identify education needs for patients and families and support their health literacy.
