Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EMT certification in Virginia (Advanced/Intermediate/Paramedic) required; BLS and ACLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and comfort care under supervision.
• May perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic tasks as directed.
• Provide patient care, emotional support, and problem solving in accordance with policies.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and proper inventory of supplies.
• Transport patients within the hospital following safety guidelines.
• Interact with physicians, patients, families, and staff.
