Job summary

Carilion Clinic's Roanoke Memorial Hospital is seeking an Emergency Room EMT Technician for a full-time Evening/Night schedule. The EMT assists with direct and indirect patient care in the ER under supervision, delivering compassionate care while maintaining safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

Virginia certification as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate, or EMT-Paramedic is required, along with AHA BLS-HCP and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Certified in Virginia as EMT-Advanced, EMT-Intermediate or EMT-Paramedic.
• AHA BLS - HCP and ACLS certified.
• Must maintain continuing education hours to meet re-certification standards.

Responsibilities

• Assists with direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Provides patient care, emotional support, and problem solving under supervision.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and manages supplies and equipment.
• Transports patients within the hospital following safety guidelines.
• Interacts with physicians, patients, families, staff and community.

EMT-Advanced (state certification)
