Job summary

ServiceMaster by Rice in Clive seeks a Technician to provide emergency restoration at residential and commercial sites. You will specialize in water and/or fire restoration, mold remediation, or carpet cleaning, completing projects on time with strong customer service.

This role is physically demanding, may require on-call shifts, and requires a valid driver’s license along with strict adherence to safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in water and fire restoration, mold remediation, and carpet and general cleaning techniques; certifications a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Basic understanding of Excel to enter inventory data.
• Ability to sketch physical space, take measurements, and calculate billable charges.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform restoration, remediation and cleaning on residential and commercial projects as assigned.
• Carry out water/fire/smoke restoration, mold remediation, cleaning of personal property, carpet cleaning and general cleaning.
• Set up and monitor equipment (air movers/dehumidifiers) and track water losses.
• Maintain and return all equipment and supplies after job completion.
• Take inventory and assist with project documentation; may serve as designated driver.
• Adhere to safety rules and company policies; communicate with customer and supervisor.
• Meet or exceed customer expectations and provide project status updates.
