Job summary

AMR in Hillsboro, OR is seeking skilled Paramedics to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care on advanced medical calls. You will assess calls, lead scenes, operate defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and IV therapy, and drive ambulances on 911 responses.

Candidates must hold an Oregon State Paramedic License, a valid State Driver's License, BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS, and complete required ICS certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have Oregon State Paramedic License.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• State Driver's License required.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS/PHTLS certifications required.
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications required.
• Driving record in good standing; able to pass agility test.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best actions with Paramedic protocols.
• Use Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and families to provide care information.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.

Pay Rate: $69,899.83 - $110,171.00 depending on experience

We're hiring Paramedics in Washington County that are passionate about delivering compassionate, high-quality service and basic, as well as advanced, patient care to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess each call situation to determine the best course of action while working with progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize your Paramedic skills on medical equipment and procedures including defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen and suction devices, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced medical care.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and assurance that care is being given.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and take responsibility for the scene and unit management as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on 911 responses.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow Paramedics.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Oregon State Paramedic License
• State Driver's License
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS
• ICS 100, 200, 700, 800
• Driving record in compliance with company policy
• Pass Physical Agility Test
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
