Job summary

Altium Packaging is seeking a Mechanical Support Technician to lead urgent-response maintenance across U.S. and Canada. You will stabilize operations, drive rapid repairs, and build technical capability in blow molding bottle lines.

Responsibilities include on-site leadership during critical events, root cause analysis, and collaboration with Plant Managers and Maintenance Leaders. Travel up to 100% is required, often with little notice, and hands‑on execution is essential.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years’ experience in a high-output plastics manufacturing environment.
• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance and/or production technical roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting blow molding systems and downstream bottle processing equipment.
• Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess incomplete information in fast-moving environments.
• Willingness and capability to be hands-on on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a first responder for critical operational events across US and Canada.
• Deploy to sites on short notice to stabilize operations and execute corrective action.
• Lead on-site technical leadership during escalations with Plant Managers, Operations Leaders, and Maintenance Leaders.
• Document root causes, corrective actions, and lessons learned from each deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across maintenance and production systems (blow molding, packaging, utilities).
