Job summary

Ameren Missouri is seeking an Emergency Response Specialist to advance the Emergency Response Plan and related initiatives. The role emphasizes aligning emergency response with Ameren's strategic goals and external stakeholder expectations.

The position includes developing and conducting training and exercises, participating in the emergency response organization, and coordinating with state and local agencies during incidents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Disaster Preparedness or Business Administration.
• Seven+ years of relevant experience may substitute for degree.
• NIMS certification/training preferred.
• Experience in emergency response events required.
• Two+ years in a supervisor or project leadership role preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and understand Incident Command Structure; proficient with MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand, support, and promote an effective business approach to emergency response.
• Understand, support, and promote Ameren's Emergency Response Initiative and Plan.
• Contribute to develop and conduct emergency response training.
• Develop, conduct, and evaluate emergency response exercises.
• Serve in multiple roles within the emergency response organization.
• Evaluate response effectiveness and alignment with the Emergency Response Plan.
• Ensure plan alignment with corporate objectives and industry direction.
• Represent Ameren with local and state agencies during emergencies.
